I have a MacBook running macOS. There seem to be some

there anywhere I can get help with setting up Spot to be able to

Dear Samuel,
Have you tried installing Spot by following the instructions on
https://spot.lre.epita.fr/install.html ?
If so, what did you do and what failed?
Spot should compile fine on MacOS X. (Regarding strverscmp() and other
non-standard functions, Spot comes with its own implementations in case
your system does not have them.)
