parlera de ses travaux sur "Impacts of Software Aging Issues and Rejuvenation Strategies in Computing Systems".
Résumé :
In today's connected world, software is required to operate for long periods and must be tolerant to various types of
faults that may affect its functioning properly. A major threat to the performance and availability of computing systems is the phenomenon known as software aging, an inevitable phenomenon where application processes suffer performance degradation throughout
usage. Some proactive actions should be taken to minimize aging effects, but these solutions (i.e., software rejuvenation) are particular to each environment under analysis. Software Aging and Rejuvenation (SAR) has gained importance in recent years as software
systems have become more complex and critical to the operation of many organizations. SAR techniques have sought for software systems to remain reliable and work well for long periods, especially in systems requiring high performance and availability levels.
Bio :
Jean Araujo received his PhD in Computer Science from the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, Brazil (2017). He was a
professor at the Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco from 2013 to 2019. Since 2019 he has been a professor at the Universidade Federal do Agreste de Pernambuco, and since 2022 he has been a researcher at the Computer Science post-graduation program at
the Universidade Federal de Sergipe, Brazil. His research interests include software aging and rejuvenation, performance, availability, reliability, and stochastic modelling, which covers applied areas such as cloud computing and virtualized systems. He has
published more than 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences on computer science topics.
Cordialement,
