MLN_WO_GLOBAL_VARS macro solved most of the compilation issues. Ticket #243 is also related to global constant initialization and refers to changes made about that. Patch 1f0b6046717272eac676f1f9212ce1f6ab00eba0 adds missing 'inline' keywords and re-enables the test checking compilation with multiple files. The test is now valid and passes.
